Rambling along the Gower again

The winds died down steadily on Wednesday and by Thursday it was finally pretty still.  The temperature was about the same as it had been all week, and it was very foggy but it feels much warmer with a lot less wind (really, even the newscasters and locals were goign on about how terrible and unusual the wind was; it was awful those first several days).  With better weather, we decided to go out to the Gower again, this time choosing an area with easy beach acess: The Rhossili

Parking is 4 pond for the day.  You have to pay in coin at a meter, so having exac change is a good idea.  There were free bathrooms that were clean right at the parking area, as well as a little store run by the National Trust:

There is a trail leading along the cliff tops:

As well as one leading down to the beach:

We started by heading down towards the sand.  It was low tide so there was a lot of area open to explore:

There were signs in the parking lot warning surfers to be cautious of shipwrecks in the water, I guess they weren't kidding!

We passed these surfers heading down as we were heading back up

After we got back up the hill, we went for a while along the cliff tops as well--it was so pretty, and the fog just added to the atmosphere:

I'm so glad the winds died down and we got to enjoy another ramble along the Gower--it was so pretty.
